A study by the National Cancer institute found that exercising can reduce the risk of cancer by as much as 20 percent. Researchers believe the link might lie in the fact that exercise affects hormone levels, immune function, and body weight. Also, not sleeping enough can cause memory problems, induce depression, and weaken the immune system. Full story

I think we sometimes forget that it is our obligation to take care of our bodies. Maintaining good health isn’t just for us as individuals, but we need to be ready to care for our families and friends physically as well. After all, this is a trust from Allah, and we would be doing a great disservice by neglecting this wonderful gift that was given to us.
