Assalaamualaikum Mustafa,

Very interesting video, and insightful. I really learnt a lot on what they say and the falesy in their beliefs. If you have more work on this, that would be great to read/listen.

If you dont mind me asking, just wondering where you have studied?

Allah(SWT) created macroevolution. There is no reason to distinct microevolution and creationism.

Rather belief in Holism coupled with a larger a priori belief in Islam. Which can then encompass any other non-contridicative axioms.

Asalaam U Laikum and Jazakallah Khair for your wisdom br.

Would you like to elaborate on your point, and maybe provide your reason for believing that?

I humble myself towards an answer. Here goes:

Macro and Micro evolution:
Allah(swt) created everything. So He is responsible for concepts we can define and understand (through education). Subjects like evolution, creationism, math, art etc.

Holon and A priori
Holism is the philosophy of everything. It is only concerned with the big picture. Holism takes good and bad and neutral and fuses them together into a theory of everything.
A priori belief in Islam means belief in the truth without having to see evidence. Its like innate belief or fitrah.

Fusion:
So if you fuse holistic philosophy and Islam (which is semi holistic in it’s acceptance of monotheistic religions) then you a get a really nice big perspective.

its out there i realize. But as for my reasons. I’m seeing western philosophy and Islamic ideology parallels and attempting to fuse them. Because I’m an American and I mustn’t fully accept one paradigm over the other. At the same time I’m muslim and realizes that I have no control really over anything.

please give me feedback. positive and negative. Jazaks.

I do understand where you are going with this. However, first of all, we are not talking about a priori belief in Islam. We are talking about post priori, after seeing the evidence. The Qur’an constantly mentions that belief is not simply a priori. See surah “bayyinah” (the clear evidence) for example.
Secondly, it is a grave mistake to think that western philosophy and Islam are parallel. Western philosophy has been constantly undergoing change and from the time of Nietzche and Heideggar, it has virtually killed itself, as witnessed by the postmodern discourse of Derrida and Focault. Your being American has nothing to do with choosing paradigms. Your nationality should not prevent you from believing in any religion/system that is true.

Evolution is a world view. It is itself based on certain assumptions of thhat world view. The primary assumption is that there is no God or single Creator. Assuming there is no God how do you explain the complexity, the symmetry and multi intgration of life.

Assuming there is no God then evolution porovides a basis for understanding the complexity of life. On the other hand if accept that God created us then the complexity of life is attributed to His design (intelligent design).

Many scientists are atheists and others complain that evidence for God is lacking! thus evolution is the best theory under the constraint of random design with evolution as a selector.

The other thing we need to understand is that evolution had 3 planks. the other 2 planks failed miserably and are now censored in both High schools and universities. The other 2 planks were.

1. Social evolution. This meant that a survival of the fittest struggle is going on within society. Thus the rich become richer is natural. If the poor and sick starve and die it is also natural survival of the fittest. Trying to help the poor, weak and sick is an evil act as according to social evolution they should be left to starve and die. The marketplace decides who lives and who dies. Evolution demands capitalism.

2. National evolution. The same evolution is applied to nations. Some nations are stronger and more advanced than others. The advanced nations have evolved further and they should establish colonies. The advanced nations should colonize and enslave weaker smaller nations as this is the evolutionary way. Thus war, invasion, occupation and mass murder are all acceptable in a nation’s will to survive and dominate. Evolution demands imperialism.

3. biological/genetic evolution. This is mostly applied to animals and pretends to explain life processes as a negative feedback for genes which inhibit advanced life forms.

Social evolution was blown apart by many writers esp Charles Dickens (A Christmas Carol). No one accepted the idea of letting whole families starve and die because they are poor (as long as they were white of course).

National evolution was used by the British to justify and expand their empire (white man’s burden). Nazi’s used it to justify to justify their wars and expansion.

Another 2 lesser used theories of evolution were Societal evolution and Genetic evolution.

Societal evolution was also used by Marx and Engels to justify their thoeries of the dictatorship of the proletariat. All sorts of criminalities were accepted as a cost of the next evolutionary step.

Genetic evolution was used my Margeret Sanger and others to kill or make infertile the poor and sick. The theory was if they breed then the race genetic pool gets corrupted. Margeret Sanger was the founder of today’s planned parenthood who offers free birth control to the poor.

Both of these were important legs of evolutionary theory. Both social evolution and National evolution have cost millions of human lives. The proponents of evolution have removed these two legs of evolution so as to prevent the remining third leg of biological evolution to crash.
